The question is usually something along the line of: "I mean eating a healthy balanced diet and not tracking everything sounds great, but don't you NEED to track your food to make sure you eat the right amount? You can't just eat unlimited amounts of food! What's to stop you from eating more than you need? This is a great question and one I think is important for us to discuss. I think this question really shows how dieting and the diet mentality are a part of our general culture and it reveals two main ideas about food and eating.
