Healing after an injury or surgery is quite the process, and what you eat plays an important role. Nutrition matters when it comes to healing and there are certain nutrients that are important in the healing process. Protein - found in meat, eggs, dairy, nuts, seeds, beans, and lentils
Vitamin C - found in citrus, strawberries, peppers, peaches, tomatoes, kiwi, pineapple
Vitamin A - found in eggs, liver, sweet potatoes, carrots, pumpkin, winter squash, leafy greens
Zinc - found in oysters, beef, other meats, pumpkin seeds, sunflower seeds, cashews, and lentils
