I'm not a fan of diets, but there is one diet I think we all should go on. This diet isn't about what you eat. It's about a different kind of consumption: your media consumption. We're talking Instagram, Facebook, the news, television, YouTube, podcasts, and more. Now, I'm not saying we need to cut these things out entirely (unless that's something you think would be helpful for you), but we do need to be more intentional with the media and messages we allow ourselves to be exposed to and curate the media in our life. This might mean muting people, unfollowing people, or changing the channel when we see diet messages. When diet culture pops up in an ad for a weight loss plan or your best friend's new year's resolution, it's important to recognize how that thing is effecting you and take the appropriate actions to get it out of your face.
