One Thing That's STOPPING You From Eating Healthier!

There are many different barriers that can get in the way of healthy eating. Access, income, and cooking skills are all things that can make healthy eating more difficult, but there's one thing I see in our culture at large that stops a lot of people from eating healthier: the idea that health food doesn't taste good. This idea that healthy food is gross is something that I see again and again when I work with people one-on-one or in groups, when I talk to people at health fairs and other events, and even in my personal life just chatting with people about food. Our preconceived notions can have a serious impact on our behavior, so let's talk about where this idea comes from and what we can do about it.
