Weight Loss 'Stomach Pump' Approved by FDA

Aspire Assist, a device described by some as a weight loss stomach pump, has been approved by the FDA. The Aspire Assist is like a reverse feeding tube. A port sits on the outside of the body that is connected to the stomach, but instead of putting food in, it is used to drain food out. About 30% of the food a person eats is drained from the stomach into the toilet through the device, and the remaining food is digested as normal. Obviously, this has a lot of people talking and many are calling it medically assisted bulimia. Here's what I think about it.
